Joel Burslem

Joel is a seasoned marketing professional with 1000watt Consulting with over 10 years of experience in consumer marketing, public relations, new media and Internet marketing.

In 2005 he founded the Future of Real Estate Marketing blog, which was subsequently acquired by Inman News. Named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Real Estate bloggers in 2007 and 2008, Joel regularly speaks about technology and real estate marketing to audiences across the nation.

As VP of Content with Inman News, Joel created the popular InmanTV online video magazine and helped program several Real Estate Connect events while there. He left Inman News in 2009 to help launch Vook; an online video and publishing start up.

A veteran world traveler, Joel settled in Portland, Oregon with his wife Amy, daughter Charlotte and dog Maggie after stints abroad in Northeast Asia and Europe. He holds a BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia.
